Ministries

The word “Ministry” comes from the Greek word diakoneo, meaning “to serve”. You wont find too many specifics in the Bible about modern day ministry programs, but you will find a whole lot on serving others and on spreading the gospel. Ministries can vary in types and functions, but the goal of ministry should always be to further the Gospel through service to others.

And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Missionary Support

Of all the ministries we have, supporting Missionaries is close to our favorite one.  Missionaries can be anywhere in the world that we can not. We are blessed to able to support more than 40 missionaries. It seams like there is always missionaries visiting us and it’s a true blessing every time! We’d love to be able share them with you here, but unfortinatly because of rising Christian persecution around the World we must keep them safe by not sharing their details publicly.

Nursing Home Ministry

Every Sunday a group of volunteers from RBT is blessed to be able to go have Church with a growing list of residents from our local nursing home. It is the highlight of the week for many of them. They may not have families and most of them can’t easily come and go anymore but they still love Jesus and still enjoy their time around God’s peopel. (Acts 20:35, James 1:27)

Annual Backpack Give-A-Way

What a great time! Every year in July we are able to bless local families with backpacks to help ease their financial burdens of going back to school and it’s a great opertunity to get the community into the Church who might not ever visit.

Youth

Children are the Church of today. The investments made now, will affect the rest of their lives and will shape the direction of Generations to come.Frindships formed during their Youth Group days, will often be the strongest ones they will ever have.

Holiday Baskets

Okay, so we might have outgrown “baskets”, they are more like mini crates now, Praise God! Each fall we are able to praerfully pick out a few of the most needy families we know of and bless them with enough food to get them through the holidays. The folks RBT really enjoy being able bless those who are in tougher spots.

Let's Get Busy For the Gospel's Sake!

Training Disciples to Make Disciples

We are blessed to be able to support Who Will Go. Who Will Go is one of the most important missions around. Without the Gospel, there would be no cause.

Putting That Training To Use in Rushville!

Knowing how to effectivly share the Gospel with people on the streets is something every born again believer should be trained to know how to do!

It's Okay to Make Learning Fun

We were blessed to host the 2023 Central IN Who Will Go conference.

Fire Starting Activities

Never know when you’ll need these skills in the feild of missions.

Tourniquets and First Aid

Christian persecutions are on a rise around the world, even here in the USA. While it’s not fun to talk about what could happen. It certainly is fun to learn what to do if it does!

Backpacks for Rushville

It certainly is getting more expensive to live. These backpacks go out each year to help take the burden off some local families and it gives us a chance to share the Gospel with them.

Holiday Blessings

It’s better to give than to receive. That has to be the motto for our food baskett ministry. It’s hard telling how much all that food weighed, but we know the weight it took off of those who received them was tremendous. Whay a blessing it is to serve with a Church this self sacrificing so that others may see the Love of the Jesus.
